End of Year Statements
All end of the year giving statements will be sent out during the month of January. These will be mailed out to the current address we have on file. Please make sure to update the office if you have changed your address.
Envelopes
New Tithing Envelopes are available at the Welcome Desk for anyone that needs a new box. For those of you that still have envelopes from 2021 year please continue to use those and we will make sure you get a new box when you need one. For E-Giving, please see the back of the bulletin for info.
Sign Language Classes
We will start an adult sign language class on Tuesday, February 1st at 6:30 PM. This will be an 8 week class led by Kim Blackwelder and held in the conference room. If you are interested in signing up for the class, please fill out the sign-up sheet located on the welcome desk.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is seeking individuals who are interested in serving on both Standing and Support Committees for the upcoming 2022 year. If you are able to serve, please see Janet Rainey or anyone on the Nominating Committee. You can also grab an Interest in Serving Form off the Welcome Desk.
Youth Events
Make sure to follow our Youth Page for events happening with our students! On Monday, January 17th from 1-6 PM they will be heading to the White Water Center in Charlotte, NC for Ice Skating! Cost is $10 per student. Then on Saturday, January 29th we will be having a student church workday at 10 AM.
New Singles & GriefShare Ministry
We have a new Singles Ministry and GriefShare Ministry beginning in the upcoming weeks. These ministries will be meeting weekly and starting a new study. If you would like to be a part of this brand new and growing ministry, please fill out the sign up sheet at the welcome desk so we can keep you up to date with important information.
Baptism Sunday, January 16th
Our next scheduled baptism is January 16th during the 11:00 am worship service. If you would like to participate in this service please contact the church office by noon Tuesday before Baptism Sunday. You should bring a towel, dry clothing, and a bag for wet clothing the day of baptism.
Business Meeting
The next business meeting will be announced soon. This will be during Corporate Sunday School. We encourage all LBC Members to be present.
Discover Lakewood
Sunday, February 6th at 12:30 PM we will be holding our monthly Discover Lakewood lunch for our visitors and those interested in joining our Lakewood Family. Come and meet our staff and ask any questions that you may have. We would love for you to join Us after service for this event.
Wednesday Night Supper
Wednesday, January 12th we will be having Pizza and Breadsticks along with some desserts. Dinner will be from 5:30—6:15 PM. If you are interested in helping serve for Wednesday Night Suppers, please email Robin at admin@lakewoodfamily.com or call the church office.
