Tailgate Sunday – September 26th

Summer is almost over so you know what that means… It’s Football Season! Join us on Sunday, September 26th following 11 am service for our annual Tailgate Sunday! Make sure you wear your favorite team colors or jerseys to church (as long as it’s not orange) and stay for some tailgating fellowship with your LBC Family. The church will provide the food!

Prayer Text Notifications

We have added a new feature to our website allowing you to submit prayer requests on our website at www.lakewoodfamily.com. We will begin to send these requests to our prayer warriors via text. If you would like to join our prayer group text, please text “JOIN LBC PRAYER” to 833-225-7853. You can also call the church office and speak with Robin. We also have a Phone Tree Form in the lobby to allow you to sign up to join our other groups for weekly announcements.

Women’s Softball

For the past 2 years LBC has had a women’s church softball team. Summer league will be starting on June 14 & last until the beginning of August. If you are interested in playing on our LBC softball team please email Jessica Wright. Due to the late notice of the League, you must notify Jessica by Sunday, April 18th. Final deadline for registration is Tuesday, April 20th.

Chest of Joash

As the church has voted that it is time to replace the carpet and pews throughout the church, we have reopened our Chest of Joash Fund and are currently asking for donations to aid us in taking on this project. For more information about this project, our Building & Grounds committee is available for questions.

New Friday Morning Service for Seniors

We have begun a new service on Friday Mornings at 10:00 AM for our seniors and those who wish to come for a service that offers a more socially distanced environment. This service will be set up more as a bible study than an actual Sunday morning service. For any questions about this service, please contact the church office.

Bethel UMC Men’s Shelter Donations

The Young Couple’s Sunday School Class is collecting donations for Bethel Men’s Shelter throughout the month of March! We are asking for donations of men’s underwear including boxers or briefs. We will also be taking monetary donations between now and March 28th ending with a Love Offering to assist the Men’s Shelter with the supplies they need. If you have any questions, please see Matt O’Dell or Brittany Patton.
